This Privacy Policy explains how Sproutient (“Sproutient”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you visit sproutient.com (the “Site”), purchase or use our plugins, or engage our web development, marketing, and IT services. It should be read together with our Terms of Service. By using the Site, plugins, or services, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect
Information you give us. When you contact us, request a quote, comment, subscribe, buy a plugin, or work with us on a project, we collect the details you provide — such as your name, email address, company, and the contents of your message, along with any project files or materials you share.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we collect limited technical data when you visit — such as your IP address, browser and device type, referring pages, and how you use the Site — through cookies and similar technologies (see “Cookies” and “Analytics” below).
Comments. When visitors leave comments on the Site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, plus the visitor’s IP address and browser user-agent string to help with spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it; the Gravatar privacy policy is at https://automattic.com/privacy/.
Media. If you upload images to the Site, avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS), as visitors can download and extract that data.
How we use your information

- To respond to enquiries and carry out client projects;

Plugin purchases and payments
Plugin purchases are processed by our authorised reseller and merchant of record, Freemius, Inc. When you buy a plugin, Freemius collects and processes the information needed to complete your order — such as your name, email, billing details, and payment information — and handles invoicing and taxes. We do not store your full payment-card details. Freemius’s handling of your data is governed by its own privacy policy at https://freemius.com/privacy/. We receive limited order and licence information (for example your email and licence status) to provide updates and support.
Plugin licence checks and updates
Our premium plugins communicate with Freemius to validate your licence key and deliver updates. This may transmit information such as your site URL, the plugin name and version, WordPress and PHP versions, and your licence key. Some plugins also offer an optional usage-data feature that you can opt into or out of during setup; when opted in, it shares anonymized diagnostic and usage information that helps us improve the plugin. You can decline it without affecting the plugin’s functionality.
Cookies
If you leave a comment you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies for your convenience. If you have an account and log in, we set cookies to save your login information and screen display choices. These cookies expire after a set period. We (and our analytics providers) may also set cookies to understand how the Site is used. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings.
Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate Site traffic and improve our content — for example which pages are popular. Where analytics use cookies or collect identifiers, we do so in line with applicable law and, where required, with your consent.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on the Site may include embedded content (for example videos, images, or articles). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if you had visited that other website, which may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that content.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate — such as Freemius (payments and licensing), our hosting provider, email and analytics services — and only as needed to provide our products and services. We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely so we can recognise and approve follow-up comments automatically. For accounts, we store the personal information you provide in your profile, and you can view, edit, or delete it at any time (except your username). We retain enquiry, purchase, and project records for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations, after which we delete or anonymize them.
Your rights over your data
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete the personal data we hold about you, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. If you have an account or have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to erase it (excluding data we must keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes). Where your data is sent
Some of our service providers (including Freemius and analytics or hosting providers) may process your data outside your country. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam-detection service.
Children’s privacy
The Site and our services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Site, plugins, or services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
